Excellent Work
I really enjoyed reading this short story. This is the best story I've read in a long time. I found it fasinating. I especially like the synopsis to be very informative without giving too much of the book.

Compelling
Excellent work! Even though unfortunately the synopsis gave much of the plot away, it was still a compelling, well-crafted story. I enjoyed the way it set up, skillfully weaving between the past and the present. The scene between the mushroom hunter and Marcus was especially effective - neither too restrained nor too whimsical, the scene is subtle enough to convey the main character's longing without bogging down the reader with the same romantic cliche's we've all grown accustomed to.
My only word of advice would be not to give away the ending in the synopsis. Other than that, well done! This is easily the best story I've read on AuthorStand so far and I look forward to reading more of your work.

Well written, beautiful construction
One of the best stories on this website. The synopsis gives away too much. You don't need that much detail. Trim the synopsis. Other than that it's perfect.

well written
This Author story caught my attention in the first few pages and intrigue me enough to continue reading. I did however think the author was going to explore more into the little girl ghost that kept his wife at bay. But he did twist it into how it effected him. But well written, it does show how are past life may effect us and others. We all have a past that shaped part of our future.

Angel of Mercy
I really like the way this story is put together. The writer's ability to covey the feelings of the protagonist is enviable. I look forward to seeing more from this author.

Awesome
What a story. The plot was good, but what I loved was the character development. Also, the way the author describes the touch/looks at the pond - I felt that I was there. Very well written and great twist. Loved it. Keep writing and make them longer!
