I thought this story has an interesting premise to it, but I did have trouble following it in places. It seemed almost as if an adult was bullying the photographer, I had trouble picturing an eleven year old boy, I even went back, trying to see if the guy who had made the comment had intervened, or something. And in the beginning, I got the impression the photographer had moved there and was happy, but suddenly, the town turns sinister feeling, and she's leaving. Was there a point where she had some revelation? Why would the two children being bullied remain to be abused further? If it were me, I'd have been exiting the scene when the Luciano character showed up! The smaller boy beats him up, right? It's not real clear, what has made the boy a bully, it seems if he has the "best of everything," the suppressed rage or acting out one would usually attribute to "bullying behaviors" would be absent. Maybe I missed something, there. I don't mean to be overly critical, what I mean to say, is I liked the story, I just wanted to be able to follow it better. Please, don't be discouraged by me! I think you have something here, don't let go of it! Best of luck to you!
