Ruby awakens from being knocked out by a strange man with eerie yellow eyes. Her family is killed but Ruby remains alive because of a destiny foretold by this unnatural being. A boy in a ski cap saves her and they both escape the clutches of the yellow eyed man. Her saviour turns out to be just like her family's killer, they both have the same unnatural yellow eyes. Instead of being rescued she is face with another unnatural being.
