story of three little girls whose mother abandoned them and their father due to emotional problems, the father had custody of the three babies, a year or so after his divorce he remarried, things were o.k. at first but soon changed, the girls were raised as "Cinderella", very mistreated by the stepmother, the father worked away much of the time
