When Business Was Booming in America
John Grabowski's "The Homecoming" locks the reader securely in the go-go early 20th century when business was booming in America.  Bradley, the kind of man whose vaunting ambition and sole devotion to sales, a man about to be thrown by the weight of his own energy and vanity, is expertly sketched in detail,  Grabowski, however, shows the restraint of a master craftsman in letting the reader write that crash and instead shines the light on the devotion of Bradley's older brother, Eugene, the writer.
