Picture of G.P

Annie is struggling with the horror of her father’s death. Big John went off to Vietnam when Annie was nine years old. Upon his return he was unable to deal with the atrocities he experienced and hanged himself. Annie was shocked by Big John’s drastic solution to his pain. She could never resolve her feeling of anger and despair over losing the father she idolized and inwardly she hated him for that.

When Annie met Joe in high school she  was impressed with his strength and determination to be a doctor. In her eyes her father was weak and Joe personified all that she admired in a man. Joe goes off to college in California  and Annie takes a job in a hospital in Freehold, New Jersey.
When Joe comes home for his sister’s wedding they spend five glorious days together.
Annie gets pregnant and confides to her Doctor who has been treating her for a kidney disease since she was nine years old. Doctor Rosenthal has become her confident and father figure. Through the years the Doc has advised her and been there for her at the many troubling times in her life. The choices  she makes affects all thoes she loves and changes her life.

Storyline was sad but at the same time uplifting.  It was interesting, moved well - a  well-written work of fiction.  It would also make  a great "Hallmark Theater" presentation.
