Originally from England, Valerie emigrated to California when she was twelve years old.  At seventeen, she returned to England and worked for the glamorous Granada Television Studios in the swinging '60's.  She returned to California in her late twenties, married, and had two children.  Her son was an actor, and she managed his career for many years.  Now retired, Valerie has completed her memoirs, NO ORDINARY WOMAN (which will be published on January 31, 2012 - available on Amazon.com and www.austinmacauley.com) and is working on a full-length novel, BENNY AND MIRIAM.  She enjoys writing poetry and short stories and co-moderates two forums on the popular writers' site www.bookrix.com.
